Latest Exhibition Update (poster 35)

I have just updated the exhibition with poster 35 that is associated with a chair and a script for a simple animated vehicle.

The next step is to investigate dialog box control and then to consider a business notecard giver.

Very glad to have almost finished = a lot of work!!!

Latest Exhibition Update (Posters 33 and 34)

I have just completed posters 33 and 34.
Poster 33 scans for nearby avatars and displays what they are doing.
Poster 34 asks for an agent's permission and then animates their avatar.

The next step will be to investigate user interaction using dialog boxes more fully. I would also like to create a simple vehicle.

Latest exhibition update (Shimmer Island teleport)

This morning I have added a poster to the Linden Script tutorial exhibition allowing people to teleport directly to Shimmer Island

RSS Reader linked to LSL blog

This morning I have repositioned and resized the Smart RSS reader. It now displays the latest postings from the Linden Script tutorial exhibition blog :-)

Latest Exhibition Update (poster 30)

Last night I was working on the code for the Linden Script tutorial exhibition poster 30. It now seems to reliably work as a texture slide show. I have given up trying to sort out a time-out if someone leaves the slide show on anything other than the default option. Parallel event handling in LSL takes some thinking round and often it is necessary to go back to the design stage.

Use of Linden Scripting Language in learning programming

It has occurred to me that Linden Script has a lot of similarities with C and Java, so if people are considering joining the HND/FdEng at Bromley College, but do not have any programming experience, this exhibition could usefully give them a rough idea what programming is about. :-)

Interactive Linden Script Tutorial

I have spent a long time in recent weeks putting together an interactive Second Life, Linden Scripting Language tutorial exhibition. So far it has received a very positive reception from the community and I will continue to update it as time permits.

For those of you interested in learning Linden Script you can find the tutorial in-world in Second Life by selecting the following link:

I hope you enjoy it :-)))
