Book 3 feedback from AM Tran
[10:50] AM Tran: Page 39: What is the purpose of the question about the Wiki page? Is it merely rhetorical? I'm not sure how useful this is. It seems to break up my train of thought.

Book 3 feedback from wo7 Zarf
I found your new beta 3 tutorials to be very informative and easy to understand. I did, however, find
something that confuses me. On pages 38 and 54, you show the "if and else" statement contained in
one set of "{}" brackets. Whereas, on the illustrations of the actual code( pg. 42 and 62,63) you show
the "if and else" to each have their own sets of brackets.
I am a novice, so excuse me if I'm wrong. Thanks for your good work.... wo7 Zarf
Book 3 feedback from Apollia
Ideas:
* Perhaps the book object could contain a script that allows you to speak a page number and go directly to that page? This would be especially good since there are so many pages.
* A table of contents?
****
Typos, comma additions, possible wording changes, and other suggestions:
Page 8: "it's" -> "its".
Page 9:
"With the Script editor window open onto a New Script change the text and deliberately introduce an error." ->
"With the Script editor window viewing a New Script, change the text and deliberately introduce an error."
"Without altering the syntax try changing the messages "Hello Avatar" and "Touched" for something else." ->
"Without altering the syntax, try changing the messages "Hello Avatar" and "Touched" to something else."
"an observe what happens" ->
"and observe what happens"
Page 12: "a lighted object" -> "a light object"
Page 20: "it's" -> "its".
'Use the editor window insert drop down box' ->
'Use the editor window's "Insert..." drop down box'
Page 23: I'm a bit confused about what inverted commas are - maybe an explanation here would be good.
Page 26: Could be because I'm American but the terminology "report for handover" confused me at first. "Bug report"?
Page 53: "say respond message" -> "say response message"
Page 55:
"Where <,.5,0,.5> is the position vector offset from the centre of the prim and the rotation is set to zero." ->
"Above, <.5,0,.5> is the position vector offset from the centre of the prim, and the rotation is set to zero."
Page 57: "the camera is 6m to the right and 1m above the object"... is the object referred to here the carpet? Could change "object" to "carpet" in that case.
Page 60:
'Use the editor window insert drop down box' ->
'Use the editor window's "Insert..." drop down box'
Page 67:
"If some of your tests have failed go back over" ->
"If some of your tests have failed, go back over"

Well, that's all the feedback I thought of.
Thanks for writing all these books and tutorials, I find them very helpful.
Best wishes,
Apollia Pirandello

I have just published a new in-world book on using Program Design Language with Linden Script. The book is available to buy from the LSL exhibition for L$50 and can be found on the wall next to the fog machine. I hope you find it useful. Feedback very much appreciated. When I get the time, the next book will be staged examples to help students to learn LSL.

I've just installed a fog machine at the end of the LSL tutorial exhibition. It's a commercial product that I bought from slboutique, but it is also an excellent example of what can be achieved using the particle system in-world :-)

There is a useful scripting resource in the ICT Library on Info Island. I have added a poster in the exhibition.

Metalab Whiteboard
I did find a version of it still available in the ICT Library on Info Island, but it was an early version and did not work reliably for me.
